About this tutorial

The Passacaglia (1894), written by Norwegian composer Johan Halvorsen based on the final movement from G. F. Händel’s harpsichord suite in G minor (HWV432), is a hauntingly beautiful piece of music. A “passacaglia” is a slow “street dance” with a repetitive bass line, over which variations of a theme flow. This scintillating dialogue between the left an the right hand is perfect for intermediate piano players to learn and enjoy.
